We are the Niemz family who are a 5th generation mixed farming enterprise. We are located approximately 140kms NE of Adelaide in an area known as “Emu Downs”.
Once we have delivered your lamb to the abattoir it will take approximately 5 days for the lambs to be processed.
Emu Downs Prime Lamb will deliver your product to you the consumer in our chilled cool room trailer. We will coordinate your order with other orders in your zone and organise a central location for delivery to you.
Deliveries will be on a Friday between 9am and 3pm, unless negotiated with us otherwise. Please note someone will need to be present to collect the order, as it needs to be refrigerated.
You the consumer will need to keep the meat refrigerated, once you have received your delivery. Within the next 24 hours you should ensure the meat is packed away into your freezer to ensure the meat is kept fresh.

In recent years we have added a lamb finishing feedlot to our enterprise. These lambs are sourced by our Stock Agent and enter our feedlot to be fed on specially formulated grain-based pellet diet which is produced in a feed mill out of the Barossa Valley.
These lambs are happy and healthy in this low stress environment. The approach leads to a high-quality product and eating experience. The meat has a light marbling throughout it, and you will find it to be very succulent and flavorsome.
