100% grass fed lamb
Sheffields Cottage pride themselves on their quality lamb and continue each season to grow amazing lambs with even fat cover, high meat yields that are super juicy and tender. They purchase the highly sort after Merino/Border Leister ewes from South Australia and the Riverina Districts of NSW and choose Ivy- downs stud Poll Dorset rams, that are selected for their temperament, length and meat yields to produce quick growing lambs.
They are proud and excited to be offering a paddock to plate experience with their lambs each year and are chuffed by the feedback received and enjoyment their lamb brings to consumers.
Finished on green grass and supplemented with quality lucerne hay and always processed on a rising plain of nutrition. Currently grazing quality green pastures; Neerim is known for having green summer feed because of the high rainfall and summer thunderstorms.
When the lambs are ready for processing they are individually weighed and taken by us to the local processor, 30 mins away, then off to the local butcher where they are hung for a week and then packed and cut to your requirements.
A whole lamb is best value but 1/2 lambs are also an option .
Door to door delivery is available to most parts of Victoria for a flat fee of $35 (chilled) with FREE pick up from Sheffields (snap frozen).
Meat comes packed beautifully on trays by our local butcher – minced meat in bags (due to quantity)
