At Cartapo Creek Meat & Livestock we specialise in Chicken, however we also have a small mob of sheep which we breed as meat animals for ourselves & close friends & family. We currently have limited stock available to the public. Our mob is a mix of Black Faced Suffolk and Merino’s. We find this cross tends to make a reasonably fast growing medium bodied animal with a beautiful taste & texture. Our lamb will have been grazing for around 15 months on the native undisturbed pastures of our farm’s house paddock which we dont crop and never use chemicals on. We also treat the sheep to the occasional feed of whole grain barley which tends to give them a nice layer of fat which increases their flavour.
